To keep rats, squirrels and racoons from invading the crawlspace under your house, walk around the outside of the dwelling and note anywhere that they might be able to get in. If wire mesh covers any access points, make sure that it is a heavy enough gauge, and secured well enough, so that the critters can’t pull it off.

Creating a Post

If you decide to create a post about something, let’s say water leaking due to a faulty roof repair, and you’re not sure how to work with WordPress, then this article I’m writing here about a roof leak will show up in a “catch-all” category that I named “Blog”.

So, on this site, your Blog is a catch-all receptacle for any and all things you write that don’t fall into the “Maintenance Tips” or “Newsletter” categories.

Now, you can always create a new category called “Water Damage”. Then, anytime you wrote an article concerning water damage, you’d just check the box on the right called “Water Damage” and it would show up in there. If you forget to do that, no problem. It will just appear in the “Blog” by default.
